Lead Without Limits - Values-led Learning

KP&A is a company which specialises in leadership development, Action Learning and executive coaching. We provide leadership consultancy, training and facilitation and coaching to aspiring and existing executive leaders across a diverse range of settings from large corporate organisations to government and public sector bodies to charitable trusts

We understand that leadership is a practice that must be embedded over time. This means that learning must be:

  • Personalised
  • Contextualised
  • Taught accurately and clearly
  • Non-judgemental
  • Practised safely in real-life scenarios

For this reason, our training is delivered in incremental building blocks which begin with understanding yourself as a leader, followed up by learning key leadership skills and behaviours and finished by putting these into coached, real-time practice.

Our founder Katherine Powell has a degree in Psychology, a qualification in executive coaching as well as additional qualifications in MBTI®, Transactional Analysis, Well-Being Coaching and NLP. She is a fellow of the International Society of Qualified Coaches (ISQC), a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and follows ICF ethical guidelines. Katherine currently coaches existing and aspiring executive leaders working in companies such as Pay.UK, Sky, Just Eat and Whitehat as well as senior figures in local Government and other charitable organisations.

Katherine began her career in retail management working for W.H.Smith, later providing learning and development opportunities to new leaders entering the business. She is a qualified teacher and worked as both a Head Teacher and Executive Head Teacher of a federation of schools, achieving ‘National Leader of Education’ status which enabled her to support organisations facing challenge as well as advise the Department for Education on the direction of education policy. Ten years ago, Katherine became a director and, later, Deputy-CEO, of a charitable trust focusing on improving the life chances of disadvantaged children and young people. During her time, the business grew from 96 employees to over 600 and was highlighted by the Government as being in the top 5% highest performing organisations in its field across the south-east.

Katherine’s portfolio of responsibilities included change management, business improvement strategy, learning and development, facilities management, corporate governance and human resources. Katherine has held numerous positions on boards, advising, guiding and challenging organisational improvement and success.
Katherine is a proud advocate of using coaching to empower women into executive leadership and runs a pro-bono coaching programme to support this endeavour.
